2011 EAR MICROSURGERY CAMPAIGN
From the 19th till the 24th of May, Fundación
Totaí's annual complex ear microsurgery
campaign took place at FT headquarters. Over
the four days of surgery, 37 procedures were
carried out on 22 patients, who came not only
from Trinidad itself, but also from other cities in
Bolivia, such as La Paz, Oruro, Santa Cruz and
Guayaramerin. Once again, the Health team were
assisted by Dr Richard Wagner of Global ENT
Outreach. Additionally, great support was
provided by volunteer Sean Berquist (USA) for
whom the latest campaign provided invaluable
experience in preparation for medical studies.
