Basketball is played throughout Trinidad and is
particularly popular with the town's young people.
FT provides training sessions for children and
teenagers at a local basketball court.
As part of the training schedule, a weekly Bible
Study takes place. In 2010, around 200 different
children and teenagers benefited from the training
sessions.
Sound sporting principles of fair play are at the core
of FT's basketball programme and the teams'
participation in the local basketball championships
provide a great platform for giving a good testimony
through sport. A boys' under-12 team and three girls'
teams -- under-10, under-12 and under-14 --
