Since Fundación Totaí's establishment in 2004, volunteers have
played a crucial role in its development, their skills and abilities
being utilised in a range of ways.
Overseas health professionals and science students on practice
electives or work experience have come to Trinidad and received
training, as part of their regular diploma or degree. A hands-on
approach is encouraged and, for many, their time at FT has been
the scene of many 'firsts' in their careers.

their skills in coaching. In Education and Community, volunteers have provided
direction to educators and much-needed classroom support. And with so much
Administrative work to be done at all times, clerical assistance is always much
appreciated.
As you can see, the opportunities which exist at FT are wide-ranging. We also
recognise that you may wish to use your gifts in more than one area and should
you be able to come to FT, you will be encouraged to get involved in as many
ways as possible. As for Spanish, a basic understanding is a very desirable, but
not indispensable, pre-requisite.
