| Fundación Totaí Health Services Totai Health workers provide around 23,000 consultations a year to people in the area. Health services include General Practice, Nursing, Paediatrics, Dentistry, ENT, Audiology & Speech Therapy. Fundación Totaí's “Oye Bolivia” (Hear Bolivia) Programme for the Prevention of Deafness has a great impact in the country with some people travelling hundreds of miles to receive middle ear micro-surgery or treatment. Fundación Totaí Sports Totai Sport staff work with more than 150 of the local children in both football and basketball. It is a great opportunity for the children to learn practical skills, the disciplines of team work and also to get involved in regular Bible lessons as part of the training. Fundación Totaí Education FT's Education activities include work in the local school for deaf children, where Physical Education and Arts & Crafts classes are given. Fundación Totaí also runs a weekly arts & crafts class for ladies in the local community and provides regular training about different health topics, for the general public, health professionals and students. Bible studies are provided on a weekly basis for staff and those in the local community and Religious Education classes taught in a local primary school. Fundación Totaí Community This ministry includes work with children who live in the local prison with their parents. This is clearly a very challenging environment. The Community TotaÍ team takes kids out of local prisons in the afternoons (3 times a week) and provides educational support and food, engaging with them in fun, and teaching about Jesus’ great love. |
